We are so lucky to live in a place that has so many beautiful public parks. Raleigh has so many so it can be tough when trying to decided on a location. We did this family session at Dorthea Dix. This was the first time I’d ever shot here and it ended up being so beautiful! This park is huge though, and its very overwhelming when you first get here! And this was during Covid so everyone was out at the parks with their little lawn chairs sitting 6 feet apart hanging out. We had to dodge the crowds but ended up finding some great spots. And we even got a chance to get a few in front of the skyline before we left.
